FISHHAMMER: a rules-lite Mech Fishing game

In FISHHAMMER you play a blue-collar fisherman providing for his community in a harsh and unforgiving world. You do this by fighting mutant fish with a giant robot. 

FISHHAMMER is a rules-lite post-apocalyptic, high octane, high alcohol-content setting hack based on Sledgehammer by Gayhalforc. FISHHAMMER is an independent work compatible with Sledgehammer but not affiliated with Gayhalforc.

The Setting 

Fact of the matter is, life comes from the sea. There are stories, very old stories that you hear told by the old-timers down by the docks, about before the Final Battle that say the seas were once forgotten about, neglected in favor of the land and the skies above.  That probably a load of nonsense spewed by folks stewed up to their gills. The land is burnt and dead. The stars are well out of our reach. All we have is the sea.

And the Mechs of course.

Once war machines of the Final Battle, mechs now are the tools of the trade for the Fishermen, the honest salt-of-the-earth folk who make human existence still possible here. It is the Mechs that allow us to wrassle, reel, and bomb the titanic Megafish and pull them from the sea to provide us with raw materials. But the Mechs are just tools, tools in the hands of just and unjust men alike. Tools that just as easily could be turned against each other again. Life comes from the sea 

But so does Death. 

So, rev your engines, check your lines, reload your plasma launcher, and crack a beer. Time for some fishin.

• Pilot Handbook: For running and controlling a your character on land, or out of your mech. 
• Mech Handbook: For fighting megafish and cruising the high seas. 
• Ref Handbook: For optional rules, megafish generation, advancement, and....who knows what else!
